What's Happening?
Telstra has successfully transitioned approximately 25,000 users from its self-hosted Jira and Confluence systems to Atlassian's managed cloud environment. This migration, completed over four months, consolidates software roadmaps, documentation, and workflows
into a single cloud-based platform. The move allows Telstra to retire around 20 third-party add-ons, replacing them with native Atlassian Cloud capabilities that are more secure and easier to manage. Kim Krogh Andersen, Telstra's group executive of network, product, and technology, highlighted that this shift lays the groundwork for utilizing AI-enabled features within the Atlassian ecosystem. These features include embedded intelligence and integration with enterprise AI tools, which are expected to enhance software development speed and information accessibility.
