The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) golf team achieved a second-place finish at its home tournament, the Dolenc Invitational, held at Gateway National Golf Links. The Cougars posted a total score of 839 (-13), marking the seventh-lowest
54-hole total in the school's history. This performance placed them just two strokes behind the team champion, Bradley. UT Martin finished in third place at 11-under. Individually, Preston Bily finished third overall with a score of 205 (-8), nearly matching his personal best 54-hole total. Tomas Rascon recorded his best 54-hole total, carding a 209 (-4) to tie for 12th place. Trey Boecker tied for 15th with a 210 (-3). Four other SIUE individuals also competed, with Jake Guse tying for 37th and posting a career-low round of 69. This marks the 12th time in 16 home tournaments that SIUE has secured a top-three finish.
