IBM and Together AI have announced a multi-year collaboration to enhance AI infrastructure using NVIDIA technology. Under a $240 million agreement, IBM will deploy a large cluster of NVIDIA HGX B300 systems on IBM Cloud, expected to be available in Q1
2027. This initiative aims to provide open-source model inference, marking the first large-scale cluster built for inference on IBM Cloud using NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. The collaboration is designed to deliver 30 times more AI factory output compared to previous generations, enabling enterprises to efficiently scale their AI deployments. Together AI, which recently raised $800 million in a Series C financing round, will leverage this infrastructure to expand its AI Native Cloud platform.
