Verse, an energy infrastructure platform, has raised $54 million in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from GV, NVIDIA, and others. The funding will support the launch of Dispatch Intelligence, a new service
aimed at accelerating the power access for data centers. This initiative is designed to help data centers become operational faster by optimizing on-site energy resources in conjunction with existing grid infrastructure. The service addresses the current challenges faced by data centers, such as generation shortages and transmission bottlenecks, which delay new capacity. By partnering with Calibrant Energy, Verse aims to transform data centers into grid-responsive assets, enhancing their operational efficiency without compromising reliability.

The development is significant as it addresses a critical bottleneck in the AI economy: power access. As digital infrastructure expands, traditional power grids struggle to keep pace, leading to delays in data center operations. What's Next?
Verse plans to use the Series B funding to continue product development and expand its deployment. The company aims to onboard over 100 sites in the next year and increase the scale of on-site battery capacity under its management. By integrating Dispatch Intelligence with NVIDIA's DSX AI Factory reference design, Verse seeks to further enhance the construction and operation of gigascale AI data centers. This strategic move positions Verse to meet the growing demand for efficient power solutions in the AI sector, potentially setting a new standard for energy management in data centers.
