Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) has commenced its first diamond drilling program at the Jacknife Silver Project located in Idaho, U.S. The program, spanning 1,500 meters, is designed to target silver mineralization within the historical Conjecture mine, assess
the lateral continuity of the Conjecture shear zone, and explore high-priority areas within patented claims at Jacknife. Scout Discoveries, a private U.S. exploration company, is collaborating as Olympio's in-country technical and operational partner. The Jacknife project encompasses 135.6 hectares of patented mining claims, facilitating a swift progression to drilling activities. Managing Director Sean Delaney highlighted that this program marks a significant new phase for a project that has seen minimal modern exploration despite its historical productivity. The project has historically yielded over 3.2 million ounces of high-grade silver. This drilling initiative represents the first modern exploration in the Lakeview Mining District since 2012 and the first on the consolidated claims that form Jacknife. The objective is to test between historical underground drives to establish vertical continuity at the Conjecture mine and to extend the Conjecture shear zone by approximately 520 meters, potentially reaching a total strike length of about 1 kilometer.
