Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is significantly expanding its nonstop flight offerings with new routes from Breeze Airways and Frontier Airlines. Breeze Airways will launch twice-weekly nonstop flights to Louisville in October
and to Phoenix in February 2027. Frontier Airlines is adding three-times-weekly nonstop service to Tampa starting in November. These additions come as MSY anticipates over 207,000 available airline seats during the Labor Day travel period from September 3-8. Frontier Airlines had already increased its New Orleans service earlier this summer, following Spirit Airlines' cessation of operations on May 2. This included new nonstop flights to Denver and Philadelphia, and expanded daily service to Dallas-Fort Worth, alongside existing daily flights to Atlanta and Orlando. Breeze Airways has also been growing its presence at MSY since 2021, establishing New Orleans as a crew base and launching its first international route to Cancun, in addition to several domestic nonstop flights over the past year.
