Taiwanese shipping company U-Ming has named its first LNG carrier, Diamond Gas Jade, marking its entry into the energy transport sector. The vessel, built at Samsung Heavy Industries' Geoje Shipyard in South Korea, features advanced energy-saving technologies
and a dual-fuel propulsion system. This move is part of U-Ming's broader strategy to diversify and expand its operations, which includes a fleet of 71 vessels and plans to exceed 100 vessels. The company is also involved in alternative energy sectors, operating LNG-fueled ships and adding wind rotors to bulk carriers.
