Bundy graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance in 2024.
Why It's Important?
Bundy's appointment is significant for the University of Michigan women's soccer program as it brings in a coach with recent playing experience at a high collegiate level and a direct connection to the new head coach, Dave Diianni. Her understanding of Diianni's coaching philosophy and system from her time as a player and director of operations at Iowa could facilitate a smoother transition and implementation of strategies at Michigan. Her background as a successful student-athlete, evidenced by her academic and athletic accolades, could also serve as a valuable example and mentor for current players. This hire reflects a common strategy in collegiate sports to build a coaching staff that understands the program's vision and can effectively connect with student-athletes, potentially contributing to team cohesion and performance.

As an assistant coach, Addie Bundy will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations, training, and strategic development of the Michigan women's soccer team. Her immediate focus will likely be on integrating into the coaching staff, building relationships with the players, and contributing to the team's preparation for the upcoming 2026 season.
