MKS Inc., a global provider of enabling technologies, has inaugurated its MKS Supercenter Factory in Penang, Malaysia. The facility, located on a 17-acre site, is designed to support the increasing global demand for wafer fabrication equipment. The project,
developed in multiple phases, is expected to create over 1,000 jobs and represents a strategic investment of more than RM400 million. The opening ceremony was attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim and other government officials, highlighting Malaysia's role as a hub for advanced manufacturing and semiconductor innovation. The investment aligns with Malaysia's New Industrial Master Plan 2030, aiming to enhance domestic supply chain capabilities and foster industry-academia collaboration.
