The New England Revolution has secured American center back Joshua Wynder on a year-long loan from Portuguese club SL Benfica. The agreement, finalized before the MLS Secondary Transfer Window closed, extends through the end of the 2027 MLS Sprint Season.
To facilitate the transfer, the Revolution acquired Wynder's Discovery Priority from Nashville SC for $50,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM). Wynder, a 21-year-old native of Louisville, Ky., began his professional career with Louisville City SC in the USL Championship before moving to Benfica in June 2023. He has made 75 professional appearances, scoring eight goals across the USL Championship and Liga Portugal 2, and has also played over 20 games for the United States youth national team.
