Caroline Harvey, a U.S. Olympian and defender for the Wisconsin Badgers, has been voted the International Ice Hockey Federation's (IIHF) female player of the year. Harvey received over 77% of the votes, surpassing other notable players such as Switzerland's
Alina Muller and Canada's Marie-Philip Poulin. This accolade follows a successful year for Harvey, who won gold at the Milan Cortina Games and was named the tournament's MVP. Additionally, she set a record at Wisconsin for the most points by a defender in a single season. Harvey is also expected to be the first pick in the upcoming PWHL draft.
