BermudAir announced on September 16 that it will integrate a leased Embraer E190F freighter into its fleet, marking it as the first operator of this aircraft type in the Americas and only the second worldwide to fly it commercially. The E190F is a passenger-to-freighter
conversion of the Embraer E190 regional jet, a program launched by Embraer in March 2022. The conversion process, which involves over 600 employees and 40 suppliers, includes structural modifications such as a reinforced main-deck cargo floor, a large forward cargo door, and upgraded smoke detection and fire safety provisions. The converted aircraft can accommodate up to six standard unit load devices. BermudAir's E190F is leased from Regional One, a Miami, Florida-based aviation lessor, which has placed five firm orders for E190F conversions. Two of these aircraft are already in service with Malta-based Bridges Air Cargo, making BermudAir's acquisition the third to enter commercial operation globally.
