BYD's manufacturing complex in Camaçari, Bahia state, Brazil, has reached significant milestones by producing its 100,000th new energy vehicle (NEV) and expanding its workforce to over 5,500 employees. The milestone vehicle was a BYD Dolphin Mini, known
as the Seagull in Brazil. This development highlights the rapid production increase at the site and BYD's growing reliance on local hiring. The complex, which represents an investment of approximately 5.5 billion Brazilian reais, spans 4.68 million square meters and is designed to produce 150,000 vehicles annually, with plans to increase capacity to 600,000 units. The site also includes a local assembly line for BYD's Blade Battery. The plant's establishment has revitalized local employment and demand for supporting services.
