What's Happening?
Sage Potash Corp has announced the commencement of drilling operations at its Sage Plain Potash Project in Utah. This development follows the acquisition of necessary permits from San Juan County and the State of Utah, confirmed after a site inspection
by the Utah Division of Oil, Gas, and Mining on May 28. The company has engaged Westrock Energy Services to oversee the drilling program, with Drake Well Service as the drilling contractor. The project involves drilling a 1.275 km stepout hole to explore potash-bearing horizons, aiming to expand and upgrade resource confidence levels. Historical drilling has already identified significant potash mineralization at depths of approximately 2,100 meters. The drilling will also include a comprehensive hydrogeological assessment to evaluate yield rates and water quality in saline non-potable aquifers. Sage Potash plans to release an updated resource estimate in the third quarter of 2026, which will incorporate results from the current drilling campaign.
