Anthropic has introduced Claude Science, an AI workbench designed to streamline computational research for scientists. Unlike new AI models, Claude Science utilizes existing Claude models to provide a unified environment for research, connecting to over
60 scientific databases and offering prebuilt toolkits for fields like genomics and chemistry. The platform aims to enhance reproducibility and efficiency by allowing scientists to edit figures in plain language and run on their own infrastructure. Early users, such as the Allen Institute and UCSF Brain Tumor Center, have reported significant time savings in their research processes.
