Kami Welch has been appointed as the president and CEO of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation (Jeffco EDC), effective August 15. Welch has been serving as the interim CEO while also leading the Greater Arvada Chamber of Commerce. During
her 14-year tenure at the chamber, she doubled its membership and launched the B.O.L.D. 2026 initiative, a $3 million regional effort focusing on workforce, housing, child care, and business competitiveness. Jeffco EDC, which combines economic development with the West Metro Chamber of Commerce and the West Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation, has supported over $5 billion in capital investment and created more than 10,000 jobs since 2020.
