What's Happening?
Idaho State University's (ISU) physics program is calling for volunteers to assist with its 2026 Haunted Science Laboratory, a popular Halloween attraction. The event, a collaboration between ISU's physics program and the Kiwanis Club of Pocatello, will
be held at the Bannock County Event Center in October. Volunteers are needed for various tasks, including setting up and preparing the more than 50 educational and interactive science exhibits. These exhibits are designed to engage and educate children of all ages, with some drawing inspiration from the principles used in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. The event serves as a free field trip for local schools, with over 1,900 students attending last year, and also opens to the public.

The event will open to the public on October 24. Following the public day, take-down sessions are planned from October 25 through October 31.
