The Bruins defeated Valparaiso in four sets and swept UIC, improving their overall record to 5-8 and their MVC record to 2-0. Kauffeld, a senior from Ashville, Ohio, played all six rotations, contributing 26 kills, three aces, five blocks, and 10 digs with a .365 hitting percentage across both matches. Bolton, a sophomore transfer from Michigan State, anchored the team's defense with a team-high 46 digs, two aces, and 10 assists over the two victories. Her performance included 29 digs against Valparaiso and 17 digs against UIC, marking Belmont's first program win over UIC.
