Bloemteknik, a Cardiff-based company specializing in horticultural LED lighting, has installed its advanced lighting solution at the Eden Project in Cornwall, UK. This new system integrates Bloem's Top Crop 4 LED fixtures with GreenFingers™, an adaptive
lighting control platform. The GreenFingers platform continuously monitors greenhouse conditions, such as natural light levels, and automatically adjusts lighting output to meet predefined cultivation objectives. These objectives include target Daily Light Integral (DLI), Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD), and spectrum strategy, all defined in collaboration with Eden Project growers. The system is designed to ensure consistent crop performance while optimizing resource use by reducing supplemental lighting when natural sunlight is abundant and increasing it when conditions change.
