Grand Forks International Airport has announced the return of flights to Las Vegas and the upcoming resumption of flights to Mesa, Arizona, and the introduction of new flights to Orlando, Florida. Flights to Las Vegas, operated by Allegiant, were temporarily
suspended in May due to systemwide adjustments following Allegiant's merger with Sun Country, but have since resumed. Flights to Mesa are expected to restart in November, and Orlando flights are anticipated to begin in February. These developments are part of ongoing efforts by the city and the Air Service Expansion Committee to enhance air service options for Grand Forks-area residents. Federal lawmakers, including Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven, have expressed support for these initiatives, which are partly funded by a $1 million small community air service grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
