What's Happening?
De Soi, a non-alcoholic drinks brand co-founded by Katy Perry, has introduced Social Spritz, a new line of functional non-alcoholic seltzers. These beverages are designed for all-day enjoyment, offering a functional uplift without stimulants, alcohol,
or an energy crash. Formulated by Master Distiller Morgan McLachlan, each can contains a blend of adaptogens and nootropics, including ginseng, L-theanine, L-tyrosine, and vitamins B6 and B12. The Social Spritz line debuts in three flavors: Lemon Elderflower, Blackberry Hibiscus, and Peach Ginger. Each 25-calorie can contains less than 5 grams of sugar, is gluten-free, vegan, and made with natural ingredients.
Why It's Important?
The launch of De Soi Social Spritz signifies a notable expansion in the U.S. non-alcoholic beverage market, particularly in the functional drinks segment. This development is important as it addresses a growing consumer demand for sophisticated, health-conscious alternatives to alcoholic beverages and traditional sugary drinks. The focus on mood support, focus, and sustained energy without the negative effects of stimulants or alcohol caters to a demographic increasingly prioritizing wellness and mindful consumption. This trend could reshape social drinking habits and create new market opportunities for brands that can deliver both taste and functional benefits in the non-alcoholic category.
What's Next?
Social Spritz is currently available at Total Wine locations nationwide, select Whole Foods stores, and directly to consumers via the company's website and Amazon. De Soi plans to announce additional retail partners in the coming months, indicating an aggressive expansion strategy. The brand's success will likely encourage other beverage companies to invest in similar functional non-alcoholic offerings, further diversifying the market. Continued innovation in ingredients and flavor profiles will be crucial for De Soi to maintain its competitive edge and capture a larger share of the evolving U.S. beverage landscape.
