Brady Wilson, the current head men's wrestling coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato, has been recognized in Director of Athletics Kevin Buisman's '25 for 25 Series.' This series celebrates 25 outstanding student-athletes who have significantly
shaped the university's athletics department over the past quarter-century, coinciding with Buisman's 25th year with the Mavericks. Wilson, a Faribault, Minnesota native, competed for the Minnesota State wrestling team from 2006-2010. During his collegiate career, he achieved four-time All-American status, winning four consecutive regional finals to advance to the NCAA Championships. He holds the Maverick record for most career victories with 142 wins and contributed to two NCC Championships (2007, 2008) and one NSIC Championship (2009). Wilson was also named Minnesota State's Senior Male Athlete of the Year for the 2009-10 season and received the Don Buchanan Award for most well-rounded student-athlete. He is slated for induction into the Minnesota State Athletic Hall of Fame on October 2, 2026.
