What's Happening?
CloudFactory is recruiting participants for a short-term, paid project focused on transaction validation in Japan. This initiative is being conducted on behalf of a global payments processing company to assess the accuracy of how payment transactions
are matched to individuals. Participants will be required to review approximately 50 recent payment transactions from the past three months and confirm whether they recognize each transaction as their own. The information provided for each transaction may include the merchant name, date, amount, payment method, card identifier, and card issuer. The project is expected to take between one to two hours to complete, with a compensation of $75. To participate, individuals must be 18 years or older, reside in Japan, be active debit and/or credit card users, and have made purchases within the last three months across various merchants. They must also be comfortable providing email addresses used with selected merchants to facilitate the identification of relevant transactions. CloudFactory emphasizes that this is solely a data validation activity and participants will not be asked to provide sensitive financial information such as bank statements, full card numbers, or online banking credentials.

What's Next?
Individuals interested in participating in the transaction validation project must complete a short eligibility questionnaire. If deemed eligible, they will receive Participant Consent & Confidentiality Terms, which detail how their personal information and transaction data will be used and processed. Upon providing consent, relevant payment transactions will be securely provided to CloudFactory by the end-customer and made available to the participant through a designated project platform for validation. Participants retain the right to withdraw their consent and participation in accordance with the terms provided before the project commences. The project's findings are expected to inform the global payments processing company on potential improvements to their transaction matching algorithms and systems, leading to more robust and accurate financial services in the future.
