Vale S.A. has inaugurated a new AI-driven 'Model Plant' at its Conceição 2 unit in Itabira, Minas Gerais. This facility integrates data intelligence, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in iron ore
processing. The plant, with an annual capacity of 11.2 million tons, features over 7,300 automated instruments and 100 monitoring cameras, allowing real-time adjustments and minimizing unplanned shutdowns. This initiative is part of Vale's strategy to create more connected and innovative mining systems.
