What's Happening?
Masivo Silver has announced significant gold, silver, and copper mineralization results from its drilling operations at the Boston Mine Project in northeastern Nevada. The drilling, which included seven holes, tested targets identified through surface
showings and underground sampling. Notably, Hole BM21-01 revealed a drilled thickness of approximately 13.7 meters with high-grade mineralization, including 1.73 grams per tonne of gold, 34.7 grams per tonne of silver, and 1.14% copper. The company interprets the mineralization as extending over 70 meters of strike, with the system remaining open along strike and at depth.
Why It's Important?
The discovery of high-grade mineralization at the Boston Mine Project is significant for Masivo Silver as it confirms the potential for continued resource development in the area. This finding could enhance the company's asset base and attract further investment. The results also underscore the potential of Nevada as a key region for mineral exploration, contributing to the U.S.'s efforts to secure domestic sources of critical minerals. The continuation of mineralization beyond historical workings suggests that the project could yield substantial economic benefits if developed further.
What's Next?
Masivo Silver plans to compile historical mining, drilling, geophysical, and geological data to prioritize further drilling at the Boston Mine Project. The company is also considering accessing and sampling the lower mine level to better understand the extent of the mineralization. These steps will be crucial in determining the project's viability and potential for expansion. The company's ability to secure funding and manage exploration risks will be key factors in advancing the project.
