The musical collective FATHERS, consisting of producer Kenny Beats, keyboardist Kiefer, bassist CARRTOONS, and drummer Nate Smith, has announced their self-titled debut album. The album, set to release on July 10th via Blue Note, features the lead single
'PEARL,' which combines Brazilian pop-jazz influences with modern grooves. FATHERS is known for their jazz-rooted musicianship and production skills, with each member bringing a wealth of experience from collaborations with notable artists. The group was initially formed during Nate Smith's residency at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2023, and they have since toured the U.S. and Japan, refining their chemistry as a band.
