Huang noted that the construction of chip, computer, and AI factories is creating a demand for skilled tradespeople, including plumbers, electricians, and construction workers. These roles, many of which offer salaries exceeding $100,000, do not require a college degree. A McKinsey report projects a need for an additional 130,000 electricians, 240,000 construction laborers, and 150,000 construction supervisors in the U.S. by 2030. This development is part of what Huang describes as the largest infrastructure build-out in human history, driven by a $7 trillion global investment in data centers by the end of the decade.
