The Foothill Area Little League Junior Softball team was warmly welcomed home after reaching the championship game of the Softball World Series. Despite a valiant effort, the team fell to Southeast with a score of 6-4. The community showed strong support,
with police and fire escorts from Redding Regional Airport to Whistle Stop Park, where over 100 people gathered to celebrate the team's achievements. Coach Justin Haynes expressed surprise and gratitude for the large turnout and community support, highlighting the team's sense of family and the life-changing experience of their journey.
