A Baseline Economic Impact Analysis of HVACR Wholesale Distribution Across All 50 States,' found that this industry directly supports 101,817 jobs and generates an annual economic output of $32.9 billion. Furthermore, it contributes $17.8 billion in value added to the U.S. economy and provides $8.7 billion in employee compensation. HARDI utilized IMPLAN, an industry-standard economic modeling platform, along with detailed data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2022 Economic Census, to conduct this analysis. The methodology involved developing a transparent allocation to separate HVACR distribution's contribution from the broader durable-goods wholesale trade sector, as it is not typically represented as a standalone sector in conventional economic models.
