A delegation of business and city leaders from Ohio, led by the economic development organization Team NEO, has returned to Derry to encourage local businesses to explore opportunities in the U.S. market. This visit follows an initial trade mission in April.
The delegation will participate in a free enterprise event at Derry’s Brandywell Stadium, titled 'Goals Beyond the Pitch,' organized in partnership with AwakenHub. The event aims to provide local firms with direct insights from businesses that have successfully entered the North American market or are in the process of doing so. Panel discussions will feature companies such as O&S Doors, Bloc Blinds, and McColgan Foods. Key attendees include the newly appointed U.S. Consul General to Northern Ireland, Chris Rendo, and Derry native Mark Owens, who serves as Ireland’s Honorary Consul in Ohio. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to build relationships and establish practical pathways for Northern Irish businesses into the U.S. market.
