What's Happening?
Starco Brands, Inc., a company involved in food and beverage, household, and personal care sectors, has acquired Custom Bakehouse. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. This acquisition is set to enhance Starco's capabilities
in powdered foods, nutritional blends, drink and hydration mixes, baking mixes, dry seasonings, and private label manufacturing. Custom Bakehouse, originally founded in 1994 as Custom Foods, has established itself in the direct-to-consumer market with notable acquisitions like Marie Callender’s Corn Bread and Sticky Fingers Bakeries. The company operates a 75,000-square-foot production facility in Santa Fe Springs, California.
Why It's Important?
The acquisition of Custom Bakehouse by Starco Brands is significant as it allows Starco to gain direct control over more of its value chain, including IP creation, manufacturing, and distribution. This strategic move is expected to fuel growth and innovation within the company, potentially leading to increased shareholder value. By integrating Custom Bakehouse, Starco aims to create manufacturing synergies that will benefit its existing and future brands. This acquisition also positions Starco to better compete in the food and beverage industry by expanding its product offerings and enhancing its manufacturing capabilities.
What's Next?
Starco Brands plans to establish Custom Bakehouse as the foundation of a new subsidiary, Starco Manufacturing. This subsidiary is expected to become one of the company's primary operating pillars, alongside Starco Brands, Inc. The integration of Custom Bakehouse into Starco's operations is anticipated to streamline production processes and accelerate the company's ability to bring new products to market. As Starco continues to expand its manufacturing assets, it may explore further acquisitions or partnerships to bolster its market position.
