USA Basketball has announced the appointment of J.B. Bickerstaff, Mark Daigneault, and Mark Few as assistant coaches for the USA Men's National Team. These appointments are for the upcoming 2027 FIBA Men's World Cup and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The coaching staff, led by head coach Erik Spoelstra, was selected by USA Basketball Men's National Team managing director Grant Hill. Mark Few, a Hall of Famer and Gonzaga coach, has a long history with USA Basketball, having served in various coaching roles since 2009. Mark Daigneault, head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder, has previous experience with USA Basketball's youth teams. J.B. Bickerstaff, head coach of the Detroit Pistons, will be making his debut with USA Basketball. The appointments were approved by the USA Basketball Board of Directors.
