Cynt Marshall, the retired CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, returned to High Point University (HPU) to mentor students on leadership skills. As HPU's Sports Executive in Residence, Marshall conducted a session titled 'Leading at the Top: Lessons from the C-Suite'
in the Callicutt Life Skills Theater. She also addressed the entire freshman class during HPU President Nido Qubein’s First-Year Seminar, emphasizing the importance of emotional intelligence. Marshall shared her management philosophy, which centers on making employees feel seen, heard, and loved, and fostering a transparent, values-based work environment.
