Kenny Klein, a former sports information director (SID) for the University of Louisville, passed away at the age of 66. Klein, who served nearly 40 years in his role, was a significant figure in both local and national athletics communities. He suffered
a serious medical incident on June 11, which led to a medically induced coma. Despite an outpouring of support from the sports community, including figures like former UofL head coach Rick Pitino, Klein passed away on June 23. Klein's career was marked by his contributions to the NCAA Final Fours, the USA Pan American Games, and the PGA Championships. He was inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.
