What's Happening?
Jeep has announced the launch of two new variants of its Compass model in Europe, expanding its lineup with a 375hp all-wheel-drive 4xe model and a battery electric vehicle (BEV) Long Range version. These models are built on the Stellantis STLA Medium
platform and are manufactured at Jeep's Melfi plant in Italy. The 4xe model features a dual-motor architecture with a 157kW front motor and a 132kW rear motor, powered by a 96.1kW/h battery that charges from 20 to 80% in just 27 minutes. The BEV Long Range model boasts a 674km range, achieved through a 96.3kW/h, 192-cell battery, and also shares the same quick charging capability. Both models come equipped with level-2 autonomous driving and the Jeep Selec-Terrain system as standard features. The Compass has been a popular model for Jeep, with over 2.5 million units sold globally since its introduction in 2006.
