The floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) unit 'Hilli Episeyo' has been successfully disconnected offshore Cameroon by Norwegian engineering company CoreMarine, concluding an eight-year service period in Africa. This operation paves the way for the vessel's
redeployment to Argentina, where it will support the development of the country's emerging LNG export market. The FLNG unit is expected to arrive at Golfo San Matías by mid-2027, with a production capacity of 2.45 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). Before its arrival in Argentina, the 'Hilli Episeyo' will undergo upgrade works in Singapore to extend its operational life. CoreMarine will continue its involvement in this transition, having been awarded a contract for the transport and installation of soft-yoke (SSY) mooring systems and the hook-up of both the 'Hilli Episeyo' and a future FLNG MKII unit in Argentina.
