A new commercial space gateway has been launched at Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich in Dübendorf, Switzerland. This initiative, led by the Center for Space and Aviation Switzerland and Liechtenstein (CSA), aims to provide companies and researchers
with a direct route to conduct experiments on the International Space Station (ISS) and, in the future, the Starlab commercial space station. The gateway will initially offer three free competitive experiment slots for ISS research, provided jointly by CSA and Starlab Space. The Starlab project is a U.S.-led joint venture involving several companies, including Voyager Technologies, Airbus, Mitsubishi Corporation, MDA Space, Palantir Technologies, and Space Applications Services. This venture is developing a commercial space station intended to operate after the ISS is retired.
