What's Happening?
The long-awaited redevelopment of Cleveland's Erieview Tower is moving forward after securing financing for its $218 million overhaul. The project will introduce Ohio's first W hotel and 215 luxury apartments, with an anticipated opening in late 2027
or early 2028. Elias Kassouf, a principal with ErieView Development, confirmed that despite numerous hurdles, the financing has been finalized. The W hotel, part of Marriott International, will occupy the lower floors of the 40-story tower, while the W-branded apartments will be located on the upper floors, offering studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Tenants will have access to hotel services and amenities, including a spa, fitness center, and in-room dining. The project also includes a ground-floor restaurant and a 38th-floor restaurant with panoramic views. Additionally, approximately 240,000 square feet of office space will be preserved, and plans are underway for major renovations to the adjacent Galleria.
