What's Happening?
Artemis Gold Inc. has announced record production results for the second quarter of 2026 at its Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia. The mine produced 74,063 ounces of gold, marking a 20% increase from the previous quarter. This surge in production is attributed
to higher feed grades, improved gold recoveries, and increased mill throughput. The company processed 1.34 million tonnes of ore with an average feed grade of 1.86 g/t gold and achieved a record gold recovery rate of 92.2%. Artemis Gold is on track to meet its annual production guidance of 265,000 to 290,000 ounces of gold. The company is also progressing with its Phase 1A expansion project, which aims to increase the plant's annual throughput by 33% to 8 million tonnes per annum, with commissioning expected by the end of the year.
Why It's Important?
The record production at Blackwater Mine underscores Artemis Gold's operational efficiency and strategic growth in the gold mining sector. The increased production and ongoing expansion projects are likely to enhance the company's financial performance and shareholder value. As the mine continues to optimize its processes and expand its capacity, Artemis Gold is positioned to significantly increase its annual gold output, potentially exceeding 500,000 ounces. This growth trajectory not only strengthens the company's market position but also contributes to the economic development of the region, providing jobs and supporting local businesses.
What's Next?
Artemis Gold plans to continue its expansion efforts with the Phase 1A project and advance early works on the Expanded Phase 2 project, which aims to further increase annual throughput to 21 million tonnes by 2028. The company is set to announce its Q2 2026 financial and operating results on August 6, 2026, followed by a conference call and webcast. These developments are expected to provide further insights into the company's operational strategies and financial health, potentially influencing investor confidence and market dynamics.
