Time Out has released its list of the 20 best burgers in America, highlighting two New York City establishments among the top contenders. Brooklyn's Red Hook Tavern secured the fourth spot with its prime dry-aged New York strip and ground chuck burger,
crafted by Billy Durney in collaboration with butcher Pat LaFrieda. The burger is known for its crust and melted American cheese. Hamburger America in Soho ranked seventh with its fried onion burger, inspired by a Depression-era specialty from El Reno, Oklahoma. This burger features paper-thin onions pressed into the beef, caramelized and fused to the meat. A third NYC spot, Deux Luxe, came in at number 11 with its Big Deux burger, featuring Wagyu patties and special sauce.
