The Globus family of brands has announced the appointment of Barbara 'Babs' Baron as the new Business Development Manager (BDM) for New South Wales (NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). With over 30 years of experience in the travel industry,
Baron has held various roles in retail consulting, wholesale call centers, sales leadership, and airline account management in both Australia and the UK. Prior to this appointment, she served as the BDM for NSW and ACT at APT Travel Group. Her impressive track record in trade relations and business development has earned her the title of Most Outstanding Sales Executive (Cruise) at the NTIA Awards in 2024 and 2025. In her new role, Baron will oversee the Globus and Cosmos brands, as well as the luxury river cruise operator Avalon Waterways, working closely with travel advisors and trade partners to retain and grow revenue streams, strengthen partnerships, and drive sales initiatives across the region.
