Lamborghini is set to debut a new modification of its Urus SUV on July 1, 2026. The announcement was made through a teaser image and a brief caption stating, 'A new chapter begins.' The unveiling will be broadcast live on Lamborghini's official website
and YouTube channel. The teaser image reveals a bright green SUV with two prominent spoilers, suggesting a high-performance version. This model is speculated to be a revival of the Urus Performante, which ceased production in 2024. The previous Performante model featured a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 657 horsepower. The 2026 Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid, currently uses the same engine but with a total output of 789 horsepower. The upcoming model is expected to surpass 800 horsepower, marking a significant milestone for the Urus lineup. Additional enhancements are anticipated, including a recalibrated suspension, improved rear-wheel steering, and a more aggressive all-wheel drive system. The previous Urus Performante set a record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and the new model may aim to achieve similar feats.
