The Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) and the town of Lookout Mountain have reached an agreement to resolve a dispute over the operation of the Incline Railway. The agreement includes a new public safety fee and limitations on daily
passengers and operating hours for the historic railway. CARTA had initially set aside $300,000 to challenge an ordinance proposed by Lookout Mountain commissioners that would have imposed additional fees and restrictions.
