ESGold Corp. has completed an expanded geophysical survey and updated its 3D geological model for the Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Quebec, Canada. The company utilized a phase two ambient noise tomography (ANT-2) survey across the northern portion
of Montauban, deploying 200 three-component geophone stations. This data, collected over 32 days, generated a shear-wave velocity model covering depths from approximately 86 meters to 1.2 kilometers below the surface. Geomatic World developed the updated model using Leapfrog Geo, integrating the ANT interpretations with 90 additional historical drill holes, 1,637 drill holes, 1,707 regional multi-element samples, historical assays, lithology, structural interpretation, and regional mapping. This comprehensive model, covering about 70 square kilometers, allows ESGold to evaluate Montauban as a broader mineralizing system, moving beyond the previous focus on historically mined lenses. The ANT interpretation identified broad, near-horizontal low-velocity layers and narrower, near-vertical corridors, which ESGold interprets as indicative of a gold-silver volcanogenic massive sulfide system where mineralization has been affected by folding, faulting, and deformation.
