McMurtry Automotive has introduced the production version of its Spéirling Pure, a single-seat electric hyper track car known for its near-Formula 1 level performance. The vehicle, which is set to debut publicly at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, boasts
a 0-60 mph time of just 1.55 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph. The Spéirling Pure is powered by a 100-kWh lithium-ion battery and twin rear-mounted electric motors producing 1,000 horsepower. A key feature is its 'Downforce-on-Demand' system, generating up to 4,400 pounds of downforce, allowing the car to maintain grip even from a standstill. The car is priced at approximately $1.3 million, with customer deliveries expected to begin later this year.
