What's Happening?
Lunnon Metals has announced a 20% increase in the gold mineral resource at its Hustler deposit, now totaling 826,000 tonnes at 1.4 grams per tonne gold, equating to 36,200 ounces. This growth is attributed to successful infill drilling, which extended
the modelled structures at depth. The increase is primarily in the inferred category, with a 27% rise to 29,200 ounces. The Hustler deposit is part of Lunnon's Kambalda Gold and Nickel Project in Western Australia. The company is also conducting a Scoping Study to assess the potential for concurrent mining at Hustler and the Lady Herial open pit.
Why It's Important?
The expansion of the Hustler gold resource represents a significant development for Lunnon Metals, potentially enhancing its production capabilities and financial performance. This increase in resources could attract further investment and partnerships, bolstering the company's market position. The development also highlights the importance of ongoing exploration and drilling in resource expansion, which is crucial for the mining industry's growth. The success of the Hustler deposit could influence future exploration strategies and investment decisions in the mining sector.
What's Next?
Lunnon Metals will continue with its Scoping Study to evaluate the feasibility of mining Hustler alongside the Lady Herial open pit. The company plans to fast-track permitting for these opportunities and engage with current partners for potential collaborations. Metallurgical testing is underway to determine if Hustler's processing characteristics align with those of Lady Herial. The outcomes of these studies and tests will guide Lunnon's strategic decisions and potential expansion plans, impacting its operational and financial trajectory.
