A recent survey conducted by Money.com.au reveals that more than one in four Australian travelers still utilize airport lounges, with comfort being a primary factor. The survey, which included over 1,000 Australians, found that 26% of respondents use
airport lounges, with 17% accessing them through rewards credit cards or frequent flyer memberships, and 9% paying for access through single-use passes or annual memberships. Millennials are the most frequent users, with 41% utilizing lounges, followed by Gen Z at 37%. Despite criticisms of overcrowding and reduced offerings, airport lounges remain valued for their comfortable seating and quiet spaces, which 67% of respondents rated as the most important benefit.
