What's Happening?
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has inaugurated a regional training center in Dubai, named Fuso Academy Dubai, to bolster its Middle East and Africa (MEA) dealer and distributor network. The facility, which began operations on July 1,
2026, is designed to enhance dealer capabilities as commercial fleets in the region transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). The 362-square-meter center includes classrooms for electric vehicle training, a sales and soft skills training room, and an electronics laboratory for diagnostics and electrical systems work. This initiative follows MFTBC's transition to a standalone entity within the Archion Group, reflecting its commitment to developing its operational foundations independently.
Why It's Important?
The establishment of the Fuso Academy Dubai is significant as it addresses the growing need for skilled personnel capable of servicing and repairing zero-emission vehicles, a critical requirement as MEA fleets move towards electrification. This development not only supports the region's transition to sustainable transportation but also positions MFTBC as a leader in the commercial vehicle sector. By providing tailored training programs, the academy ensures that local operators are equipped with consistent technical foundations and are prepared for the adoption of newer vehicle technologies. This move could potentially enhance the competitiveness of MFTBC's dealer network in the MEA region.
What's Next?
As the Fuso Academy Dubai continues to operate, it is expected to play a pivotal role in the region's shift towards zero-emission vehicles. The training center will likely expand its programs to include more advanced technologies and methodologies as the market evolves. Additionally, the success of this initiative could prompt MFTBC to establish similar training centers in other regions, further solidifying its global presence and influence in the commercial vehicle industry.
