Verismo Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company specializing in multi-chain CAR T cell therapy, has announced the expansion of its treatment pipeline with a new preclinical program targeting the Claudin 6 (CLDN6) antigen. This development is part of a collaboration
with the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. The new program aims to treat CLDN6-expressing solid tumors using a novel binder developed at Penn. This initiative complements Verismo's existing lead asset, SynKIR™-110, which targets the mesothelin antigen and is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical trials in the U.S. The CLDN6 binder is the second discovered in collaboration with Penn, following the DS191 binder used in another trial for B cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas.
