What's Happening?
Riverside Resources Inc., in partnership with Questcorp Mining Inc., has completed expanded geophysical programs at the La Union Project in Sonora, Mexico. The programs included an aeromagnetic drone survey and an Induced Polarization (IP) ground geophysics
survey. The aeromagnetic survey data has been integrated into the ongoing summer core drilling program, while the IP survey results are expected soon. These geophysical tools are being used to interpret results from completed drilling and to identify new targets, potentially expanding the scope of the project. The drilling has focused on three areas: Union, Union North, and Jabali, with the new data providing a broader context for exploration.
Why It's Important?
The completion of these geophysical programs is crucial for Riverside Resources and Questcorp as it enhances their ability to identify and prioritize drilling targets at the La Union Project. The integration of aeromagnetic and IP data allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the project's geological framework, potentially leading to the discovery of high-grade gold and base metals. This advancement not only supports the companies' exploration efforts but also positions them to capitalize on the project's mineralization potential, which could have significant economic implications for the region.
What's Next?
With the new geophysical data, Riverside Resources and Questcorp are continuing Phase 2 drilling at the La Union Project. The companies are processing drill core and sending samples for assays, using the geophysics to refine their exploration strategy. The ongoing work aims to expand the project's targets and enhance the understanding of its mineralization potential, which could lead to further discoveries and development opportunities.
